Originating from one of London's historic gunmakers, the Cogswell & Harrison Avant Tout is a classic British side-by-side engineered for versatile shooting. Manufactured in the United Kingdom in 1955, this 12-gauge model showcases the enduring mechanical design and refined handling that defined postwar English sporting arms.

This specific unit remains in excellent condition for its age, featuring an English walnut stock with light handling marks, subtle checkering wear on the forend, and textured carving at the butt. Its 30-inch barrels display intact bluing alongside minor surface blemishes and a light scratch on the right tube, accented by period barrel engraving denoting the maker's New Bond Street and Strand addresses.

The action maintains a tight, solid lockup on the face, with the ejectors firing crisply in tandem with the double triggers. Configured with 2 ¾-inch chambers, a silver bead sight, and fixed Full and Cylinder chokes, this vintage piece is mechanically sound and ready for use.
