Beretta 686 Special Skeet 12 Ga, 28" Barrels
Built upon Pietro Beretta’s renowned low-profile boxlock action, the Beretta 686 Special has long been favored by competitive clay shooters for its exceptional balance, pointability, and enduring mechanical reliability. Crafted in Italy in 1989, this 12-gauge competition gun was purposefully configured to meet the rigorous demands and rapid cadence of the skeet field.
This example remains in solid good condition with plenty of shooting life ahead, showing honest character from the sporting clays course with the grip-cap medallion noted as missing from the checkered walnut stock. Stocked with right-hand cast, a 14 ¾-inch length of pull over pad (14 inches to the end of the wood), and weighing 7 lbs 7 ½ oz, it offers a natural, stable swing through the targets.
The 28-inch over-and-under barrels feature fixed Skeet and Skeet constrictions beneath a wide 10 mm ventilated rib, equipped with 2 ¾-inch chambers and positive automatic ejectors. The action locks up tight on dual conical locking lugs, driven by a crisp single selective trigger with the barrel selector cleanly integrated into the manual safety.
