a .75 caliber Indian Matchlock Toradar

$888.00
Approx ¾ Cal | 57" Barrel | Wood Stock

Originating in sixteenth-century India, the Toradar matchlock musket represents one of South Asia’s most iconic and enduring military designs, serving with distinction through the Raj period into the nineteenth century. Built on early European matchlock principles, these historic long guns were celebrated for their robust construction, traditional craftsmanship, and characteristic straight stock terminating in a slender pentagonal butt.

This authentic example remains in good honest antique condition, showcasing a 57-inch barrel of approximately ¾ caliber adorned with traditional brass bands, gold floral accents, and a mellow historical patina across its steel surfaces. The full-length wood stock displays genuine age and character, with the fragile barrel-to-stock junction secured to safely stabilize the assembly for presentation.

Offered as an exceptional historical artifact and display piece for early arms collectors, this Toradar comes complete with a new foam-padded wooden shipping crate designed to ensure secure transit and preservation.
