The Franchi 48/AL Hunter is a distinguished representative of Italian semi-automatic craftsmanship, known for its lightweight design and the reliability of its long-recoil action. This model has established a lasting reputation among upland hunters for its quick handling and effortless carry throughout the field.

This 1978 manufacture unit is in **very good condition** with only a few handling marks on the wood and barrel consistent with light field use. The wood stock is configured with a 14 3/8 inch length of pull, a 1¾ inch drop at comb, and a 2½ inch drop at heel, all set in a traditional pistol grip for a natural point of aim.

The firearm is equipped with a 28-inch barrel featuring a 6 mm ventilated top rib and a **fixed Improved Modified choke** for 2¾ inch shells, resulting in an overall length of 48¼ inches. Its action remains smooth and mechanically sound, ensuring the refined performance and reliable cycling typical of Franchi’s storied production.
