William Evans (from Purdeys), Antique Hammergun, 12 Ga, 27.5" Barrels

$4,000.00
2 1/2" Chambers | Fixed Full & IM | Excellent Condition

This Hammer Gun is a classic 12 Ga top lever hammergun built in the United Kingdom, known for its traditional form and strong mechanical design.

It features a solid rib, smoothbore barrels, and an English walnut stock shaped in a Straight English style for traditional handling.

Overall condition is excellent. The action locks up tight as new, the non-rebounding locks are crisp, and the English walnut stock shows only small areas of varnish wear with sharp checkering throughout.

The barrels remain in excellent shape apart from a tiny dent on the top rib, and the rib is marked with “William Evans (from Purdeys) 4 Pall Mall St James London.” It has a brass bead sight and presents as a very well‑kept rotary under‑lever hammergun made in 1895.
