William Evans (from Purdeys) Antique Hammergun, 12 Ga, 27 1/2" Barrels is a standout example of classic English gunmaking.

This top-lever, hammer-style firearm features a straight English stock and a solid rib, delivering timeless field performance and collector appeal.

Rotary under-lever hammergun in excellent condition. The top rib reads "William Evans (from Purdeys) 4 Pall Mall St James London". The gun locks up tight as new, and the non-rebounding locks function crisply. Beautiful English walnut stock with a little varnish worn away. Checkering still sharp on stock, fore-end, and butt plate. Barrels in excellent condition, bar an insignificant little dent on the top rib. Brass bead sight.

Dating to 1895 in United Kingdom, this hammergun features a Straight English stock with Neutral cast and LOP 14 1/4", DAC 1 3/4", DAH 2 3/8", and is chambered in 12 Ga with 27 1/2" smoothbore barrels and an overall length of 43 3/4". It is licensed for Pre-1899.
