Antique Cogswell & Harrison The Avant Tout Boxlock Side by Side, 12 Ga, 26" Barrels is a classic British-made sporting gun built with a traditional boxlock action, a solid rib, and a long history of field performance. It features a Straight English stock in English Walnut and a double-trigger system for precise control in the field.

Dating to 1895, this Avant Tout is about 130 years old and remains in excellent condition for its age. The beautiful golden-amber stock shows light surface marks as to be expected and the barrels are pristine with bluing preserved except for minor wear near the breech. The underside of the receiver retains approximately 50% of its bluing. Brass bead sight. Nice tight break action and ejectors firing well! Very slight right cast for the right handed shooter. It weighs 6 1/5 lbs, has LOP 14 1/2" and LOP to Wood 14 1/2", DAC 1 5/8", DAH 2 1/2", Cast Right, Stock Straight English in English Walnut, 12 Ga with 2 1/2" chambers and 26" barrels, giving an overall length of 42 1/2". Made in the United Kingdom in 1895 under a Pre-1899 license.
